"My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places." ~ Isaiah 32:8

Abuse is NEVER deserved. Be it mental or physical; occuring once or repeatedly; dealt by the hand of a husband, boyfriend, friend or family member, abuse is always wrong.
"It is not enemies who taunt me -- I could bear that; it is not adversaries who deal insolently with me -- I could hide from them. But it is you, my equal, my companion, my familiar frient, with whom I kept pleasant company; We walked in the house of God with the throng." ~ Psalm 55:12-14
Redeemed is an opportunity for women to be heard, to share and to learn from each other through Christ. The group is free and open to all women; Christian or Non-Christian, members of the church, attenders or someone who is in need of a non-judgmental ear. It is God's place to judge, not ours. We’re here to try to help and support women of abuse. Be it mental, physical, or emotional; abuse is always wrong. Even if it occurred years ago it can still leave scars, flashbacks, and guilt.
The class is very loosely structured and has no set curriculum. We always open and close in prayer, but from there it varies. Different women have different needs on different days. We try to keep things flexible so as to best serve those who come. Your abuse may have occurred by a family member, neighbor or friend, this class is not specifically for domestic violence. It’s for those who need to know that they are not alone. We’d also like to invite those of you who have or have had a loved one in this situation. It’s tough to watch, and you may need someone to speak to also.
